Simple Tips to Relieve Stress | How To Reduce Stress & Anxiety


A lot of people despite their age go through stress and anxiety on daily basis. It’s evident in some people while some people are really good at hiding it. 


Here are some ways to ease that stress and anxiety so that you can live your life to its fullest. 


1.Engage in more physical activity


Many studies have shown that engaging in physical activities help improve one’s mood and reduce stress. Adding a companion like a dog to it might be icing on the cake. 


2. Try reducing screen and phone timing


As difficult as it sounds in this digital world where everything works on your laptops and computers, many studies show that excessive screen time and smartphone usage is linked to increased level of stress and mental disorder. 


3. Reduce caffeine intake


For all those who don’t know what caffeine is, Caffeine is a central nervous system stimulant of the methylxanthine class. It is used as a cognitive enhancer, increasing alertness and attentional performance. To simplify it, it is a chemical found in coffee, tea, chocolate and energy drinks that stimulates one’s central nervous system. 


But!!!!!! Consuming too much might result in increased level of anxiety. Overconsumption might result in less sleep which in turn might result in increase stress and anxiety.


4. Avoid procrastination


When you procrastinate and leave things to catch up, it causes stress which can hamper your sleep and health quality. 


5. Try Yoga


Different yoga styles have different benefits. Some of them like Sukhasana, Uttanasana, Garudasana, Utthita Trikonasana are used to relieved stress. Not just it helps in relieving stress, but promotes psychological well being.
